Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a very common Health problem in cats, The present study aimed to isolate and diagnose Escherichia coli causing UTIs cats in Babylon province. A total of 100 urine samples suspected of having UTIs from the age group of (2 months to 3 years) were collected from different veterinary clinics in Babylon province. 50 isolated to Escherichia coli were obtained in Babylon during the period from September 2023 to April 2024. The initial diagnosis of E. coli isolates was made using culture media (MacConkey agar, methylene blue eosin and blood agar). Biochemical tests and Vitek 2 device were used to confirm the final diagnosis of the isolates. The highest number of bacterial isolates was found in female cats, more infected than male cats, The sensitivity test was performed using the Vitek device, and the resistance was as follows: ampicillin (100%), cefazolin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (70%), piperacillin, cefoxitin, ceftriaxone, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin (30%). The results of the study also showed absolute resistance to E. coli (ampicillin (100%) was the most resistant in cats as well as non-isolated resistance to piperacillin, ceftazidime, cefepime, amikacin, gentamicin, nitrofurantoin, and tigecycline. The ability to produce biofilm was revealed by two methods, the first is the standard plate method (MTB) and the second is the Congo red medium. the first method shown the Cat isolates (5 isolates were medium, 3 isolates were weak, and 2 isolates had no growth), As for the second method, all isolates appeared positive.

The current study aimed to know the negative effect of children with acute tonsillitis on CBC values and inflammatory indicators. ESR where the study included 50 children whose ages ranged from 5-10 years. Examples of experiment were divided into two groups 25 children for the first group, who were healthy from the injury. As for the second group, they are 25 children with acute tonsillitis. Al -Razi Laboratory, Al -Rafah and Al -Ahly Hospital Laboratory in Al -Hawija district. The current study's findings demonstrated a noteworthy rise in White Blood Cell (WBC) in children with acute tonsillitis compared to healthy children, while the results of the study in Red Blood Cell (RBC) showed a significant increase in healthy people compared to the affected children, while platelet values and values showed PCV is that there are no moral differences between the injured and the healthy, as the results showed that there is a moral rise in random sugar values and ESR values.

Objective: The primary goal of the current study was to look at histological, histochemical, and biochemical aspects of the development structure of rat's kidney and liver. Materials and Method: Seventy eight samples of kidney and liver were obtained from rats at days; 1, 5, 10, 15, 36 and 90 after birth and processed for histological, histochemical and biochemical techniques. Results: Up to the fifth day, new nephron anlages develop in the renal cortex. After ten days, the final anlages form into functional nephrons, and fifteen days after the corticis forms, the cortex seems mature. The collecting ducts and loops of Henle expand longitudinally to form the renal medulla. The immature medulla is structurally similar to the later inner stripe of the outer zone and cannot be split into distinct zones. Within ten days, the inner zone was developed, and within fifteen days, the outside zone's stripe. The kidney tubule's diameter increased with age, the renal medulla was mature at 36 days, the kidney was covered in a moderate amount of collagen fiber, and the henle loops were lengthy at certain ages, but short at adult age. Adults had larger corpuscle and nephron lumens. In contrast, the thick renal capsule at other ages contained less collagen fibers. A tiny renal gap encircling the glomeruli and a notably greater quantity of fibers were visible in adult Bowman's capsules. The liver was encased in a thin capsule on the first day of birth and a thick capsule between 36 and 90 days later. On day 15, the cells surrounding the central veins began to arrange themselves in a regular fashion. The hepatic parenchyma could be seen by symmetrical hepatic cords, which emerged from the central veins as radiating columns. After five days, Von Kuffer cells began to line the sinusoids next to the endothelial cells. On the tenth day, the hepatic sinusoids took on a more regular appearance, stretching between the hepatic cords and joining the central veins. The hepatic lobules with their central vein were visible at the age of 15 days. The capsule then thickened and elastic fibers started to show up. The reticular fibers also thickened and spread, and in 36 days, collagen fibers started to show up in the portal areas. Based on histochemical data, every PAS, AB, and PAS-AB stain was highly reacted with brush in renal and hepatic cells. In conclusion: The kidney and liver developed differently after birth and reached their mature, typical structures in 36 days.

The study involved 200 feces samples of cattle and sheep, in Babylon Governorate in Iraq. Used for diagnosis of hydatid cyst, polymerase chain reaction (PCR), using specific primers and the method was the conventional PCR. Cattle and sheep was classified into subgroups according to age, area and sex in this study association of these risk factors with rate of infection. The diagnosis of hydatid cyst in cattle and sheep was determined by (pcr). study which are collected from human, sheep, cattle The prevalence of Hydatid Cysts infections was highest in Al-Qassim and western hamza districts which were 36.36b % (40) of cattle, 22.5a% (9) of sheep and 17.5a % (7) of cattle , 22.72b% (25) of sheep respectively , while the prevalence of Hydatid Cysts in Al-Hilla District was 18.18ab% (20) of cattle, 37.5c% (15) of sheep and the lower prevalence of was in Al-Musayyab and Al-mahaweel district which was 9.09a % (10) of cattle, 12.5ab % (5) of sheep and 13.63ab % (15) of cattle , 10b % (4) of sheep respectively. The results of present study were exhibited on high prevalence of in cattle and sheep of some districts in Babylon province. The statistical analysis recorded that there was Significant difference (at P<0.05) difference in the prevalence of parasite among geographical areas. In the present study the incidence of hydatid cysts was different according to age of the host. In sheep the incidence of hydatid cysts has a positive proportion to age of sheep; a high prevalence rate (45b%) was observed in age of sheep (1-2 years); while less prevalence rate observed in (>3) years ages (10a%),In cattle a higher rate (58.18b%) was recorded at ages (2-5 years) while a lower rate (3.63a%) was recorded in (>8) years with Highly significant difference at P<0.05 difference in the prevalence of parasite between age intervals. The result of infection with hydatidosis according to sex revealed that Females were exposed to infection more than males, with no significant difference at P<0.05 in sheep and cattle.

The current study was carried out to evaluate the current prevalence of the food-borne pathogen; Shigella spp., in local stored cheese in Al-Diwaniyah City, Iraq, by using the virulence ipaH and uidA genes as targets for molecular tools. The study included the bacterial cultivation of 450 local cheese samples (collected during June to September, 2022) utilizing conventional methodology. The recovered Shigella spp. isolates were subjected to a real-time PCR (RT-PCR) that focused on the genes mentioned above. The results of the cultivation revealed the presence of 110 (24.4%) Shigella spp. isolates in the examined cheese samples. The RT-PCR showed that the virulence genes were identified in 84 (76.4%) and 98 (89.1%), respectively, in the bacterial isolates, which indicated the existence of Shigella dysenteriae. The current findings indicate the presence of Shigella spp. in local cheese, which needs urgent control to eliminate the source of infection or contamination.

Background and Aim: Mastitis is a prevalent and costly disease that significantly impacts the dairy industry, affecting both sheep's health and milk quality. In order to determine the bacterial causes of subclinical mastitis in Iraq and its susceptibility to antibiotics, the study aims to molecularly detect resistant Staphylococcus aureus isolated from sheep infected with mastitis. Methods: Molecular assay and phylogenetic study to detect Staph aureus isolates by using 16 Sr RNA and resistance virulence genes (aac-aph, tetk) by the conventional method of PCR. Two hundred samples were collected from the subclinical mastitis of infected ewes, Samples were reserved on an icebox and transported to the laboratories. Milk samples were cultured on Blood Agar and Mannitol Salt Agar (7.5%) plates. The culture plates were then incubated at 37°C for 24 hours. Results: The PCR assay revealed amplification of the 16S rRNA gene in all 20 isolates, amplification of the aac-aph gene in 19 isolates, and the tetK gene in all 20 isolates. The PCR products of 20 positive samples for (16 Sr RNA) target genes were sequenced, evaluated, and dropped on the Genbank-NCBI under the accession number, which became a reference to Iraq and the world. According to the current study, Staphylococcus aureus is commonly found in milk. To combat drug resistance, antimicrobial drug use should be normalized, and antimicrobial resistance surveillance should be conducted regularly. Conclusion: PCR-product of 8 positive samples for 16sr RNA target gene were sequenced, analyzed, and deposited on the Genbank-NCBI under the accession number and became a reference to Iraq and the Middle East and the world.
