The Lion's Mane mushroom, which has the scientific name Hericium erinaceus, can be defined as a medicinal fungus type. For very long time, it has been utilized in the conventional medicine in Asia for a variety of purposes. In the past few years, there had been a great deal of interest directed towards potential benefits to the health, which could be provided by this unique type of mushroom in particular, when it comes to the treatment of various diseases. The concentration will be focused on examining the way that Hericium erinaceus as well as its bioactive elements could be utilized for therapeutic purposes within the area od disease control. This review states the possible Hericium erinaceus advantages in cases that are related to some health issues, such as metabolic problems, gastrointestinal diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and immune system problems. In addition to that, the present paper discusses the work that is used for providing the therapeutic effects. It is stated that some of the characteristics of the Hericium erinaceus include having anti-inflammatory, neuro-protective, anti-oxidant, and immune-modulatory effects. Even though more studies are needed for detailed understanding of all the mechanisms that are involved in its activities, presenting evidences that strongly suggest possible Hericium erinaceus uses as one of the natural cures for a variety of illnesses, it is known as well in some cases as lion's mane mushroom, which fungus type that comes with extensive history and many potential advantages. As a result of its distinctive morphology, including bio-active compounds, in addition to its conventional uses have combined to the generation of much interest in a variety of areas. More research is needed for full understanding of the way that it works for the therapeutic applications and its potential implementations in the area of nutrition, cooking, and medicine. The cultivation of Hericium erinaceus might be viewed as an activity of conservation and business production.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effects of varying concentrations of manganese and zinc chloride (10, 20, and 30 mg/L) on the physiological traits of Schoenoplectus litoralis and Myriophyllum verticillatum, as well as to measure the levels of total chlorophyll and protein content. The study was conducted for one month. The research results demonstrated that the water plants used for the investigation had higher component concentrations at the conclusion of the investigation when compared to the control sample. Additionally, the water plants exposed to the effects of heavy metals had lower levels of protein and chlorophyll.

This study was determine effect different concentrations of heavy element salts on physiological status of aquatic plants Schoenoplectus litoralis and Elodea Canadensis. It was used three different concentrations of zink chloride and manganese chloride (10, 20, 30 ppm) for a month in order to measure the amount of total chlorophyll and its protein content. The results of the investigation showed that, in contrast to the control sample, the concentrations of the components in the water plants used in the analysis rose near the end of the investigation. The effects of heavy metal exposure on the protein and chlorophyll levels of water plants were studied.

The study was conducted on the Tigris River in the Qalaa area, west of the city of Samarra, Salah al-Din/Iraq, for the period between October 2023 and March 2024, 117 fish were caught, with one catch per month. It has been observed that the higher sex ratio tends to favor females in Carasobarbus luteus, Luciobarbus xanthopterus, Carassius auratus, Leuciscus vorax, and Cyprinus carpio with ratios of 7.0:1, 5.0:1, 4.6:1, 3.5:1 and 3.0:1 respectively, while the lower percentage tends to favor females in Acantho brama marmid, C. macrostomum and Chondrostoma regium in the ratio of 1.8:1, 1.5:1 and 1.19:1, respectively. show the monthly changes in gonad (G.S.I) function for male and female fish (Chondrostoma regium, Carassius auratus and Carasobarbus luteus), (Acantho brama marmid, Leuciscus vorax and Luciobarbus Xanthopterus) and (C. macrostomum and Cyprinus carpio) respectively. The water temperature ranged between 10 and 22°C. The highest water temperature was in October and the lowest in February. The highest value of dissolved oxygen was 8.4 mg/L in March and the lowest value of dissolved oxygen was 6.5 mg/L in October. The highest turbidity value was 49 NTU 1 in December, and the lowest value 39.5 NTU was recorded in February.

Rice is one of the most widely used staple foods in the world. However, its production is still very limited compared to the exponentially growing demand. Senegal, with an average consumption of 90 kg/habitant, is the third largest importer of rice in Africa. Aware of the impact of imports on the population, Senegal has set itself the objective of achieving food self-sufficiency by 2022 with an average yield of 5 tonnes/ha. ISRA, through its research, contributes to the achievement of this objective by developing adapted technologies. It is within this framework that a participatory evaluation of 30 new anther culture lines was conducted at the ISRA research station in Fanaye during the hot dry season of 2020. Surveys were conducted among producers through guided tours, while observations and measurements were made to collect agro-morphological parameters and characteristics preferred by producers. The agronomic results analysed and combined with the surveys made it possible to select the 10 best performing varieties. Among these 10 best performing lines, 6 were chosen by the producers. They are KF18134, KF18040, KF18068, KF18103, KF18124, KF18048, KF18005, KF18017, KF18001, KF18024. Crop yield is the first characteristic chosen by the growers. It was followed by short cycle characteristics, panicle load, low bird damage and medium height.

In this paper we use a logit model to analyze consumers’ perceptions of health and environmental hazards of pesticides residues in daily consumed vegetables. Perception of health hazards can be predicted by consumers’ age, belief of presence of residues in consumed vegetables, frequency of consumption. Age and gender were found to be the main predictors of consumers’ environmental concerns with female more likely to be concerned.
