Bodily changes after mastectomy cause psychological disturbances as well as impacts negatively on the self-image of women. This study analysed and compared changes in self-image pre- and post-mastectomy among women with breast cancer in selected hospitals in Southwest Nigeria. A descriptive exploratory design was adopted; purposive sampling was used to select 56 women aged between 18-70 years diagnosed with breast cancer who subsequently had a mastectomy. The study was conducted at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, and Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile Ife. Data was collected using two instruments. These were the Breast Impact of Treatment Scale (BITS) and the Situational Discomfort Scale (SDS. Data was analysed using SPSS version 20 using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings showed that pre-operative self-image scores of respondents ranged from 2 to 39, with a mean of 13.68 ±5.74. None of them had severe distress, however, 77.3% had mild distress; and 22.7 % had moderate distress. During post-mastectomy, the scores ranged from 11 to 62 with a mean of 43.29 ± 5.50. None of the respondents had mild distress but 89.8 % had severe distress while the rest had moderate distress. The study found a significant difference between pre- and post-mastectomy self-image, the pre-operative mean score was 13.68, while the post-mastectomy mean score was 43.26 at p =0.0001, with a t value of -24.78. This study concluded that, while the respondents had mild self-image distress before mastectomy, severe distress was attributed to post-mastectomy periods.

Background: Demographic factors (i.e. employment) can be risk factors for female sexual dysfunction, while impaired sexual function can affect self-esteem and interpersonal relationships, so that sexual function may be influenced by the type of work a woman does. Objective: This study was intended to assess the comparison of sexual dysfunction in married women of reproductive age who have different careers. Materials and Methods: There were 214 respondents who met the inclusion criteria, 75 unemployed housewives, 68 teachers, and 71 nurses. Respondents' sexual function was measured using the FSFI questionnaire developed by Rosen et al., in 2000, which consisted of 19 questions covering six domains of sexual function, namely desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction, and pain. Results: The mean total FSFI scores of housewives, teachers, and nurses were 25.88, 25.15, and 25.14, respectively. All housewives (100%), 66.2% of teachers, and 81.7% of nurses experienced desire disorders. Arousal disorders were experienced by 81.3% of housewives, 83.1% of teachers, and 66.2% of nurses. Housewives, teachers, and nurses with vaginal lubrication disorders were 61.3%, 86.2%, and 66.2%, respectively. There were 40% of teachers, 53.8% of teachers, and 54.9% of nurses who failed to achieve orgasm. The levels of satisfaction felt by housewives, teachers, and nurses in sexual intercourse were 88.0%, 44.7%, and 57.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, vaginal pain was felt by 48% of housewives, 53.8% of teachers, and 66.2% of nurses. Conclusion: Differences in careers of married women of reproductive age do not significantly differentiate the sexual dysfunction they suffer from.

Number of cases schizophrenia in the work area of the Ponre Health Center there were 95 cases. There were 30 people who experienced hallucinations. The most common hallucinations were hearing, 22 people and the remaining 8 people experienced visual hallucinations. Families who have family members who experience hallucinations often don’t receive adequate attention and care due to the lack of family knowledge in caring for family members who experience hallucinations and the impacts that arise if hallucinations aren’t handled properly. This research is research pre-experimental quantitative with approach one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was 30 family members using total sampling. Be found the influence of health education and the media booklet on family knowledge about treating patients with auditory and visual hallucinations at the Ponre Community Health Center with a P value <α (0.000 <0.05), tested by test marginal homogeneity wilcoxon. There is an influence of providing health education interventions the media booklet in increasing family knowledge about treating patients with auditory and visual hallucinations at the Ponre Community Health Center. Research suggestions can be a valuable guide in encouraging the use of health education to increase family understanding regarding caring for patients with auditory and visual hallucinations.
