Introduction: Giant cell tumour of bone (GCTB) is a locally aggressive and osteolytic tumour. The peak incidence is during the third and fourth decades of life. The majority of tumours occur in the meta-epiphyseal (end) region of the long bones. Surgical resection is the preferred treatment option, if possible but it is a tumor which always poses progressive problems. Denosumab is indicated in recurrent or unresectable GCTB. Materials & Methods: We report a series of 70 patients treated for GCT at the medical oncology department of the CPMC of Algiers in collaboration with the orthopedics department of Mustapha University Hospital between between December 2018 to December 2023. Results: 70 patients (50 women and 20 men). The sex ratio is 0.54. The average age is 22 years (11-54 years). Reason for Consultation:  Pathological fracture: n=10 -Pain: n=30 - Functional impotence: n=20 - Tumor mass: n=5 - Concept of trauma: n=5 • Stage of the disease: -Localized: n=29 -Recurrence: n=30, -Recurrence + pulmonary metastases: n=10,  Sarcomatous transformation: n=1 • Type of treatment: -Radiotherapy, n=1 -Exercised biopsy: n=10, -Curettage + cementoplasty: n=50  Exeresis with osteosynthesis material: n=8, -Amputation: n=1 • Medical treatment: Denosumab: n=45 • The number of courses with denosumab was between 6 and 55 cycles . Denosumab was administered neoadjuvantly in 10 patients, in 20 patients with reccurence disease, 15 patients in the metastatic phase  In terms of toxicity we noted hypocalcemia moderate in 3 patients. Objective Responses: 95% clinical response, 5 complete radiological responses and 10 partial responses, 20 stable patients and 9 out of 10 patients who received neoadjuvant denosumab were able to operate. Progression Free Survival is 28 months. Conclusion: GCTs are aggressive tumors with intermediate malignancy that should not be underestimated. The treatment is essentially surgical. Denosumab is indicated for both neoadjuvant and adjuvant use, it allows obtaining a clear clinical and radiological improvement.

Radiotherapy is a cornerstone in the treatment of Hodgkin's disease but can have long-term consequences, notably the development of secondary malignant tumors. This case study and literature review highlight the imaging characteristics, diagnostic challenges, and clinical outcomes of this late complication. The aim of this article is to underscore the role of imaging modalities in the diagnosis, characterization, and management of this rare and complex condition. We discuss the radiological findings, clinical diagnosis, and therapeutic considerations, thereby providing valuable insights into radio-induced breast cancer in Hodgkin's disease and emphasizing the importance of personalized surveillance in these high-risk patients.

: Granulosa tumors are rare ovarian tumors with a better prognosis compared to other ovarian tumors. Their progression is usually slow, and the tumor remains confined to the ovary for a long time. The adult form characterized by microfollicular proliferation, a coffee bean appearance and Call Exner bodies is the most common. The solidocystic appearance of these tumors is generally nonspecific and diagnosis can be difficult preoperatively. However, the hormonal secretion that accompanies it helps guide the diagnosis and guide treatment. Surgery remains the basis of treatment and must be extensive in elderly patients. It carries a risk of recurrence which can occur several years after the excision surgery. We report the observation of a 38-year-old patient with a history of a mother suffering from breast cancer, who presented with a granulosa tumor of the left ovary diagnosed postoperatively. The epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects are discussed.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide, its incidence is increasing but mortality has decreased in a huge way due to the growth of various cancer treatments. Patients with a contraindication for trastuzumab, an incomplete cardiographic echo record, and patients with already heart disease were excluded from the history. The means of cardiac monitoring was cardiac ultrasound or isotopic ventriculography, the toxicity criteria were those of the New York Heart Association (NYHA), a detailed operating sheet was made for each of our patients. The main objective of our study was to assess the incidence of cardiotoxicity in patients treated for breast cancer HER 2 3+ by trastuzumab.06% of our patients had had trastuzumab cardiotoxicity (i.e. 3 cases); two patients had an asymptomatic decrease in reversible LVEF and one patient had clinically significant heart failure requiring appropriate treatment for ICS and permanent discontinuation of trastuzumab. The protocols of targeted therapy with trastuzumab are an essential progress in oncology and cardiac toxicity is the major limiting factor for its use. Our work focuses on a retrospective study, conducted at the Department of Oncology and the Hospital Ahmida Ben adjila discussing cardiotoxicity of tarstuzumab in 50 patients with breast cancer HER2 3+ collected from january 2014 to december 2019.we have included in this study all patient with breast cancer overexpressing HER2 3+ treated by trastuzumab with an initial heart function and preserved LVEF ≥5 5%. We excluded patients contre to trastuzumab, incomplete echocardiographic folder, patients who received neoadjuvant trastuzumab and patients with metastatic breast cancer. Cardiotoxicity with trastuzumab is not common enough in our series but it does exist, which requires several careful preventive measures including monitoring by echocardiography.

Introduction: A state of malnutrition is so commonly associated with tumor disease that it is often considered an integral part of the evolution of cancers. Materials and Methods: This is a prospective monocentric study carried out in the Medical Oncology department of the PHE of Laghouat. Patients with cancer and followed in this service between October 4, 2020 and November 26, 2020 have been included. The main objective was to study the impact of chemotherapy on the nutritional status of cancer patients by assessing the nutritional status and quantifying its anthropometric and biological parameters. Malnutrition is defined as weight loss > 5% in one month or > 10% in six months and/or body mass index ≤ 18,5 kg/m² and/or albuminemia 30 g/L in adult patients aged < 70 and by weight loss 5% in one month or 10% in six months and/or body mass index ≤ 21 kg/m² and/or albuminemia 35 g/L in patients aged ≥70. Results: This study included 123 patients with a sex ratio of 0.6 and an average age of 51.81±14.33 years who were sectioned into 2 groups: undernutrition with a weight loss greater than 5% of usual weight and or BMI 18, 5kg/m² and or albuminemia 30g/L (in 70-year-old patients) and or BMI21 kg/m² and or albuminemia 35g/L (in 70-year-old patients) (n=16, 13%) and those without malnutrition (n=107, 87%). Men accounted for 34.6% of the not undernourished population and 56.3% of the malnourished population. The weight change in the undernourished group was on average -1.12%±5.4 with 30.1% of undernourished people have PDP>5% and 81.26% were on chemotherapy. The mean BMI of the undernourished population is 18.63kg/m² 3.98 and the mean albumin is 35.65 3.68 g/L in the undernourished population. Discussion and Conclusion: The undernutrition of cancer patients is common and associated with less benefit from chemotherapy and a derogatory prognosis.
