Abstract: We provide an opinion piece on the epidemics of the Coronavirus regarding passenger ships.

Abstract: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is a worldwide health problem, which affects in both developing and developed countries. The oral lesions caused due to this disease can drastically change the life of the patient, in terms of quality.

Abstract: Silent sinus syndrome (SSS) is a rare entity that is associated with spontaneous, painless, unilateral enophthalmos and hypoglobus resulting from downward bowing of the orbital floor in the absence of any symptomatic sinonasal disease. The diagnosis is suspected clinically, but it is confirmed radiologically by its characteristic imaging features that include maxillary sinus outlet obstruction, sinus opacification and sinus volume loss caused by inward retraction of the sinus walls. Ostium obstruction appears to play a critical role in the development of SSS. Treatment involves reconstructive procedure of orbital floor and functional endoscopic sinus surgery. The purpose of this article is to acquaint the reader with the clinical and imaging features of the SSS, along with a brief discussion about its pathogenesis and treatment, which is relatively unknown among oral and maxillofacial radiologists.

Abstract: Salmonella typhi is still considered a health burden in low income countries despite the implementation of vaccination strategies since 1896. The incidence of typhoid fever in some parts of Asia accounts for 10 to 100 cases per 100,000 person-years (1). Typhoid fever typically presents with fever, malaise, constipation and abdominal pain. (2 and 3) Extra intestinal manifestations through hematogenous dissemination (including spondylodiscitis, osteomyelitis, meningitis, etc...) are very rare with a median prevalence of 5-10 % of all salmonella infections (4). Vertebral column invasion secondary to salmonella bacteremia is common in immunocompromised patients, patients with sickle cell disease and very rarely reported in the immunocompetent pediatric patient (5). In this article, we report a case of a 2 years 6 months old immunocompetent Lebanese child, who presented with fever, diffuse abdominal pain and a remarkable abdominal distension of 2 weeks duration, who was found to have salmonella spondylodiscitis.

Abstract: Sister Mary Joseph's nodule (SMJN) is a metastatic umbilical tumor. It is a very rare condition, with a poor prognosis; however, it can be the first sign of intra-abdominal cancer, most commonly an adenocarcinoma metastasis from a gastrointestinal or gynecologic primary malignancy. We report a case of umbilical skin metastasis (or Sister Marie-Joseph's nodule) revealing bilateral ovarian adenocarcinoma in a 61-year-old patient. And through this case we emphasize on the delayed diagnosis associated with this tumor.
