The COVID-19 pandemic has renewed the discussion on the importance of health on long term well-being of any economy. It has also been a challenging time, having hurt economies in a world already seeing declining economic growth. While vaccination globally has been picking up speed, this paper is an attempt to establish a relationship between income levels of different Indian states and its empirical effect on healthcare outcomes and policy implementation through the study of indicators such as Infant Mortality rate in the pre-pandemic world and COVID-19 vaccination. Using secondary data, we have developed regression models to understand the effect of COVID-19 on the income-health relationship. Through our research we have been able to identify that income level, and in effect income disparities, do have a significant positive relationship with healthcare, and that the pandemic has deepened this relationship. Further, we have looked into other factors that may help us explain the reasons behind this relationship, including healthcare infrastructure, public health expenditure and other social factors in the context of Indian states.

The Nigerian oil and gas sector has suffered a lot of setbacks since the commencement of the production of oil in large quantities. This situation becomes more worrisome for the fact that the oil and gas sector produces petroleum resources which represent the economic mainstay of the country and until recently, was a major employer of labour. This paper examined some factors responsible for the state of decay and dwindling fortunes in the sector and noted that these issues have been pervasive for a long time. The oil and gas sector has been beset by the challenge of non-implementation of or the implementation of ineffective reforms and regulations, the high level of oil theft and pipeline vandalism, systemic corruption and unethical practices by both the local and international players, lack of effective legal and institutional frameworks which should enhance regulatory functions, ineffective leadership, etc. The information used for this paper were gathered from secondary sources. A critical appraisal of the activities of the sector showed that a lot needs to be done by the present Government, especially with the passing of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). The paper adopted the concept of Pockets of Effectiveness to posit that even in the midst of such decay, Government agencies and public organizations can achieve effectiveness but must eschew the mentality of rent-seeking, patronage and clientelism which characterize the oil and gas sector in Nigeria.

The pandemic condition and online learning have affected Private Universities, especially student behavior. The purpose of this study was to conduct a study of the MARS model to analyze student behavior and its effect on learning effectiveness. The research was conducted on private university students in the city of Semarang, the sample was taken from the population with a purposive sampling method sampling technique as many as 150 students as respondents. The analytical tool used is SPSS with Linear Regression Method. The results showed that the MARS model had a significant influence on student behavior and had a positive and significant effect on learning effectiveness.

This paper shows that usages of language should be measured at levels of expert, intermediate, and waystage even though learners give teachers a lot in outputs if they are not correct as grammatical structures and forms for meanings in contexts. Then, many instructions have been historically operated; however, there are few successful results in outputs after instructions from teachers who are trained as officials. This research frames the question differently from task-based language learning. However, the way will tackle a problem that teachers should fight in giving learners correct feedbacks directly.

Community radio plays an important role in the communication of a certain community and is a form of public-service broadcasting. It upholds the principles of participatory communication. The present study was conduct to know about the role of Radio Dhadkan, a community radio, in sensitizing and empowering the Sahariya tribe of Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh of India. Here mainly secondary sources of data have been used. There are some development gaps in meeting the needs of Sahariyas and other marginalized communities living in villages and urban slums of Shivpuri district. To fill these gaps, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), in association with Sambhav Social Service Organization, has set up a community radio station – Radio Dhadkan. The present study reveals that Radio Dhadkan has been successful in promoting collective action through radio programs and has been instrumental in creating awareness and empowering the target communities. It has shown an extraordinary dynamism due to its diverse endeavors. It has really helped in connecting, entertaining and educating the Sahariyas in a way that was not possible through any other medium. It has also provided opportunity for employment generation and community capacity building. Thus, the Radio Dhadkan approach has potential applicability in achieving developmental goals.

This paper is about the dramatic shifts in Pakistan’s diplomatic stance since its inception. The paper argues that Pakistan is unusual in having to depend upon short-term diplomacy to achieve the stability that other countries enjoy through long-term diplomacy. The article argues that this short-term diplomacy is the result of Pakistan being forced to improvise radically different diplomatic responses in the face of different and severe challenges in its international relations. Whilst the overriding challenge in Pakistan’s international relations has always been the existential threat posed by India, the shifting sands of alliances in its region between the U.S, China, Russia and India, wars and civil strife have prompted Pakistan to pivot alliances alternately between the U.S. and China whilst maintaining a difficult balancing act between them. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the latest shift in the sands of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy in recent times.
