The main objective of this paper is to investigate the relationship between per capita GDP and covid-related deaths across countries. Two measures of covid-related deaths are considered: official deaths related to COVID-19 per one hundred thousand people and excess mortality per one hundred thousand people. The regression analyses reveal that covid-related deaths and per capita GDP show a non-linear pattern (an “inverted U-shaped pattern). The findings suggest that the incidence of covid-related deaths was relatively lower in lower and higher-income countries, compared to middle-income countries.

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a tool to assess the effectiveness of a development aimed at improving living standards and can be used as a measure of the status or level of progress of a particular region or country. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the poverty rate in Kalimantan Island has decreased between 2013 and 2023, although its economic growth tends to be unstable. However, the HDI in Kalimantan Island continues to experience a significant increase. This research applies quantitative methods with panel data regression analysis. This study was conducted to determine the effect of poverty and economic growth on HDI in Kalimantan Island. The findings of this study show that in Kalimantan Island, HDI is significantly affected by poverty, but not by economic growth. However, when analyzed together, poverty and economic growth have a significant influence on HDI in Kalimantan Island. Following up on the findings of this study, it is important to optimize the Human Development Index to increase the effectiveness of maximum development in Kalimantan Island.

This study examines the comparative the financial performance of Bank Mega Syariah prior to and following partnering with Sharia Fintech in financing distribution. Utilizing a quantitative and descriptive approach, it analyzes key financial ratios including NPF, ROA, ROE, NOM, and BOPO. Data from Bank Mega Syariah's financial reports over a 10-year period (2014-2023) are analyzed. Statistical analysis is performed using SPSS, applying the Paired Sample T-Test is utilized for normally distributed data, while the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test is used for non-normally distributed data. The outcomes indicate noteworthy distinctions in NPF, ROA, ROE, and BOPO after the collaboration, while NOM shows no significant variance. The findings suggest a positive impact of collaboration with Sharia Fintech on Bank Mega Syariah's financial performance, particularly in reducing NPF and enhancing ROA, ROE, and BOPO. However, it is noted that regulatory concerns highlighted in the AMS 2022/2023 survey remain a barrier to financial literacy and inclusion via Fintech. This study adds to the comprehension of the dynamic environment of Islamic banking within the framework of Fintech integration, offering insights for policymakers and industry practitioners.

The selection of packaged food and beverage products in Indonesia, certified as halal or adorned with halal labels by the Assessment Institute for Food, Drugs, and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM-MUI), exhibits a remarkable diversity. This study aims to examine the impact of halal awareness and halal labels on the consumer purchasing decisions pertaining to these packaged commodities. Employing a quantitative approach, the research methodology entails the collection of primary data through questionnaire distribution among respondents. The sample size for this study encompassed 117 individuals. Multiple linear regression analysis served as the data analysis technique. The findings unveiled that both halal awareness and halal labels jointly exerted a significant influence on the purchasing decisions associated with packaged food and beverage products. Evident from the halal label's significance value of 0.000, which is below the predetermined threshold of 0.05, the analysis underscores their pivotal role. Furthermore, the R Square value of 0.619 signifies that halal awareness and halal labels contribute to 61.9% of the observed variance, leaving the remaining 38.1% subject to factors beyond the scope of the multiple linear regression model.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a global economic crisis, resulting in a significant increase in the number of people who work from home. This study examined the variables impacting the conduct of 448 respondents who took part in a work-from-home survey designed specifically for ergonomics home office when working from home, two years after the COVID-19 virus. The survey was conducted in September 2023 and runs through November 2023. This study is unique since it looks at the ergonomic problems in Patna district connected to working from home. Respondents are invited to complete a questionnaire that will help identify ergonomic issues and potential solutions related to working from home. Video conference apps like Zoom become the main source to connect with teams. Most of the respondents feel that purchasing new technology, such as a laptop, smartphone, Wi-Fi, and other peripherals, has become first priority while working from home. During all home office setups, most of the respondents accepted moderately ergonomic, but some improvements were needed. At the starting stage of working from home most of the respondents do not have a designated room. Additionally, this research would offer corporate executives, legislators, practitioners, and HR specialists’ ideas on the necessity of reviewing the current workplaces and ergonomics surrounding.

The purpose of this study is to see the partial and simultaneous effects of istishna, mudharabah and ijarah financing on profitability (ROA) of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The method is a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample and population in this study are Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia in 2018-2023 on a quarterly basis. So that there are 24 samples in this study. Isthisna financing results in the conclusion that the level of profitability (ROA is significantly negatively affected by istishna financing. In addition, mudharabah financing significantly and negatively affects the level of profitability (ROA). Furthermore, it is shown that ijarah financing does not significantly affect the level of profitability (ROA). Simultaneously, it is concluded that istishna financing and mudharabah financing have a significant negative effect on the level of profitability (ROA). Then ijarah financing has no significant effect on the level of profitability (ROA). Data analysis used in this study requires descriptive analysis test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The data used is secondary from Islamic banking statistics with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) website.

The research is intended to examine the impact of the independent variables, namely inflation, exchange rates, and total money in circulation, on the stock rates of companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling method, the study cited a sample of 16 companies that were consistently listed on the JII from January 2020 to December 2023. Data analysis was carried out using panel information analysis with the help of the Eviews12 application. The research confirmed that inflation and money supply have a significant favorable impact on stock prices, through respective coefficients of 0.087409 and 0.751782. In contrast, the exchange rate has a significant adverse impact on the stock rate, through a coefficient of -1.646472. The simultaneous F-test confirms that all three variables together have a significant impact on the stock rate.
