The thousand character essay is composed with Chinese characters. Therefore, it is strange that the thousand character essay can be translated through Korean pronunciation of Chinese character. Further, Kim and Park (2022) found that several Persian words have similarity with Korean words. It is also really strange that there is similarity between the pronunciation of Persian words and that of Korean words. Because it is very distant between Korean region and Persian region (Iran and Afghanistan). So, it will be good to know the reason of this similarity. The starting point of this research is Iranian-Korean book (Kim, Yeong Yeon, 1999). And it was found that there is similarity between Iranian words and Korean words (Park et al., 2019). The number of Persian words is fourteen. And the method is to compare the pronunciation of Persian words with that of Korean words. The meaning of Persian words is on the basis of Persian/French dictionaries (Bau, 2008; Taranov, 2017). The title of this work is ‘Are they similar or are they same origin, Persian language and Korean language (248th-261st)?’ This work concerns comparing the two languages, the Persian language and the Korean language.
