Abstract
French Missionary Dallet (1874) introduced the thousand character essay to the Western World. The thousand character essay is called as ‘Tcheonzamun (千字文)’ in Korea. Dallet (1874) wrote in his book that Tcheonzamun was utilized by Chinese people. The range of this work is (Tcheonzamun 833rd-848th). There are two methods for the translation of Tcheonzamun poem. The first method is through Korean pronunciation of Chinese character (Park et al., 2021 b). The second one is through the meaning of Chinese character on Tcheonzamun (Park et al., 2021 a). There is an additional method of the second translating method. It’s a kind of the deleting method (Kim, 2023). If there are the same or the similar part in the different two letters on the same line, it will be deleted. The remained part(s) will be subjected for the translation. The shape and pronunciation of Chinese character depend on somewhat old Tcheonzamun book (Han, 1583). This work is for the translation of Tcheonzamun poem of (Tcheonzamun 833rd-848th). The title of this work is ‘Hyeonhi, you are the snail bride (‘Wooleong Gaksi’ shown on a traditional fable in Korea) of our home. Thank you so much! (Tcheonzamun 833rd-848th)’. The theme of this research is as follows. 841-844 晝(Zu) 眠(Myeon) 夕(Seog) 寐(Mae). 841-844 晝(Zu)-丨-土-曰-一=彐. 眠(Myeon)-目=民. 夕(Seog)- (爿-丨)= (nothing). 寐(Mae)-(爿-丨)-丨-土=宀小. Here, (曰一) are similar to (目). And (夕) is similar to (爿-丨). My husband! Do you really want for the life of our family (民) to become into the pitiful and unhappy (彐) condition? It is very simple! Please say to me (your wife) (小) at our home (宀) “You are not a good woman! You are an unwise (nothing) woman!” My husband! Soon, you will be changed into the poor and miserable state.
